I had a question regarding the avatars (or are they signatures?). I've found an avatar/sig that I like, but I'm not sure how I put it up. You know? (I think I confused myself  )

For avatars: Save the picture that you want. Go to My Controls > Edit Avatar Settings > Browse and find your picture.

For signatures: My Controls > Edit Signature > Put the picture URL into the IMG tags.

You can upload an avatar via My Controls > Change Avatar and a signature via My Controls> Edit Signature.

Please read the guide in Newbie Camp as it will answer most of your questions.

Thanks, heh. I read the guide, but not closely enough I guess. Sorry about that. Anyway, thanks for the info.

Make sure the photo is 90 x 90 pixels or smaller. You can edit it using adobe photoshop or other programs to make it smaller. :)

You have to first host the image on a site.

    then use the code:
    [.img] [./img]

but write the address of the image in between the code
    [.img]http://blah.com/blah/blah.jpg[./img]

(write the code without the ".")

You know IPB automatically resizes your avatar for you; right?

It distorts it, though. It's easier if you just make it 90x90 or smaller so it looks the way you want it to.
