which one was your favorite. I liked the first one the best. The second and third were unneeded and just basically added another storyline.

The two other ones were cool though, with effects, and I guess I liked the Agent Smith plot in Revolution.

I have to give credit to the first movie, because it was the greatest movie I've ever seen. That's my favorite.

But in a VERY CLOSE way, Revolutions is second. That Neo vs Smith fight, and the battle between the APU's and Sentinels just put it over the top. If was just so great. Reloaded is third, but in no way is that a bad movie in my opinion, because they all added to a great continuation of a great storyline.

Alot of people liked the first Matrix movie the most because it was a 'bang-bang-shoot-em-up-beat-them-senseless' movie. There was little philosophy involved. The second and third movies were more aimed at the hardcore fans who love the philosophy behind the Matrix storyline and I feel that's the reason why not very many people loved the second and third movies.

the first Matrix was the best for me. It just had moments in the movie which I haven't really seen before.

The first, of course, I absolutely despise Reloaded and Revolutions, I think the Animatrix was better than those 2 put together. The first movie was just a symbol of my favorite kinds of movies.

The first, of course! :) This is followed by Revolutions -- a very solid movie on its own. Reloaded was decent, but it was just a filler between the two, in my opinion. Good story, though.

I loved the whole trilogy in order, until I saw Revolutions again recently! I enjoyed it alot more than the first time around (just got to get through the 1st half hour and you're ok :D) But Reloaded comes in a close third...but the Burly Brawl and the Highway Chase we're two of the coolest things ever to come on screen!

And The first Matrix I have to say is one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time, period! It just blew me away

Definately number one. "Reloaded" was too action based. "Revolutions" was too story based. Number one, had a great mix of both, and as it was the original it had a bigger impact on audiences IMO.

    Hell yeah

The first movie focused more on "what if this life isn't real." The second and third basically just focused on saving Zion.

Well, to tell the truth I've really only seen part 2. I never saw the first one or the third one.
So, I guess I was kind of lost when I saw part 2 since I knew nothing about The Matrix.

I've heard that part 1 is the best, oh well, I guess I'll just have to say part 2 is my favorite.

The second one. It got me to thinking: Do we really have the ability of choice?

Note: I haven't seen the third one.

I have to say that the Animatrix is my favourite, simply because it had different story lines. But since you're talking about the trilogy, I'll say the first one.
