This sounds absolutely incredible, and no it's not old, as some of this stuff I didn't know before you posted this (and thanks for that). This game is definetely going on my wishlist. I fell in love with Vice City when I first played it, so chances are if they are learning from the mistakes and breakthroughs of an already great game, then this sequel is going to kick major ass. Thanks for the post, I cant wait for more screenshots to surface so I can see just how pretty this baby is.
being excited about a GTA game comes natural for me. I dont need to know all this info, i get just as excited on hearing the title. I've been a GTA fan for years now, and this game is no exception. Sounds awesome.
Speculation has it that the trailer for this game will come out later this month. The reason for this is because of the pattern on the other GTA games. GTAIII was annoced in Febuary or 01 and a then a trailer was revealed 3 months later. The Vice City trailer was revelaed 3 months after that was annouced too. So, San Andreas was annoced on March 1st so the trailer should be coming out this month. It's just speculation though.
Most of this stuff they released at E3. ITS OLD [EDIT] YEA this stuff is kind of old. I remember this website had all this information about the game up right after this stuff was released at E3 and then RockStar told the site to take down all the information, so it was only up for a day.
Don Salvatore Leone will either be in San Andreas or GTA4 http://www.frankvincent.com/bio.htm This is really odd. In GTA3, you kill Salvatore. This could also hint that there will be a Mafia in one of the games. And here is what you do in the first mission... Source : OPM UK Magazine I will be posting updates for San Andreas in this post.
LOL. That's amazing. This game will be the greatest game ever. I hope they don't change the controls.
GameSpy has a HUGE 6-page preview on everything you need to know (So far) on San Andreas. (There is some stuff in there that haven't been mentioned in this topic) Here is the link... http://ps2.gamespy.com/playstation-2/grand...s/523232p1.html
Rmember that all the games are set in different times, Vice City 80s, GTA 3 Late 90s, And this game, Ealry 90s, So that explains why Salvatore is in San Andreas.
News: Character customization: You'll be able to control: Hairstyle Physique Weight Driving skills CLothes Possessions Weapons skills Character Relationships Start a small gang The main character's name is CJ, the map is 5 TIMES bigger than Vice City, there's no loading between areas, 35-50% more polygons on-screen, longer view distance, real time reflections, better lighting, textures, and animations, each character has a unique and realistic AI, more indoor locations, better hand-to-hand combat, new graphics engine, more/more realistic cars. HOT DAMN!!!
I wouldn't be suprised if you need to put gas in your car in the next GTA game. This game is going to sky-rocket. Not like a rocket launcher. Like a Redeemer.
I heared all this stuff about Vice when GTA3 was out, and Vice did look better but it was way over emphasised from what it actually was meant to be. I personelly cannot see how they are going to get San Andreas looking "that" much better, i mean the ps2 is getting old and there's only so much more it has to give graphically. San Andreas is gonna kick ass, but whatever the game consists of someone is always going to have something to say and find ways to make it better. For Vice it was, "if only there was a police bike", "if only there was a skateboard", "if only you could swim", i'm just saying no matter what R* put in the game, someones always gonna complain about bettering it. Other than that, San Andreas looks and sounds amazing and hopefully it lives up to all of the hype.

Games for the PS2 haven't been using the hardware to it's full potential like Gran Tourismo 4 will. If they can push 50% more polygons per screen into this game, I will be impressed, and it will definitely be a noticable difference. They have an entirely new graphics engine for this game, I wouldn't doubt what they say they're going to do graphically. I'm really also looking forward to the improved textures.
