I saw the movie last night. It is one of the best movies I've seen in my life. It is true, however, that the movies are now straying from the book. Frodo runs into Faramir when they're in the woods. In the book, he isn't taken back to Gondor and held captive, but in the movie, he is. Also, Gandalf never confronted Sarumon and broke his staff, casting him from the Order of the Wizards, and stealing his Palantir. Pippin later takes the Palantir from Gandalf because he's attracted to it, and is "talking" to Sauron. Gandalf then rides with Pippin to Minis Tirith. None of this happened in the movie. Merry and Pippin, in the book, meet up with Aragorn and the others at Helms Deep. That never happens in the movie. When the Ents attack Isengard then form a "forest" around Isengard so nothing can escape, yet they do something totally different in the movie. I was overall really disappointed that they'd change it so much. I just hope "The Return Of The King," though still a year away, isn't this bad...
glad you liked it i'm sure the people who haven't seen it yet might be a little mad that you kinda told part of the storyline, lol. nice work

bought what? the movie is even out on DVD, it came out in theatres 4 days ago. dude, start reading closer instead of just trying to post in every single thread. you're flooding.
No. Not the new one.
That's what this thread is about, the new movie... How about you do us a favour and: 1: Read things before you reply... 2: Not post in every single thread... Most of the staff agrees with me, too.
No, I was comparing the second book with the second movie.
Oh, see I thought you were comparing the 2 movies, and it was ok to post about that. So sorry about that. And about the posting in every thread, sorry about that also. Just having fun, but I will be sure and do that.
hey that is what happens in the Return of the King............. The whole part of Gandalf going to Minas Tirith is in the Two Towers BOOK not the movie.( They wanted to lengthen the last one and shorten this one..) And gandalf does ride to minas tirith with pippin but not til later.........
