Good news, especially since the Rainbow Six book is better than the games' story.

I'm not really sure I want the seriousness of Rainbow Six to be directed by Woo, to be quite honest... I know he can be a good director, but I don't think this fits him. I mean, he's good at action movies, but more "popular" action movies (something like 2Fast2Furious, lol).

I hope it isn't as one sided as the games.

In all honesty I don't think John Woo was a great director/producer, he did a few good films but most were pretty lame, in my opinion.

yeah I mean his last 2 films where flops in terms of box office smashes , I know that he wanted to have windtalkers go in a whole different direction but the film company was against that. His Best film in my opinion was face off ( im still waiting for the dvd special addition to come out).

Bad news, considering Paycheck was apparentely a really crappy movie. Hey, he'll just continue the tradition of most game to movie franchises sucking major ass.

May I remind you of Tomb Raider? First one was pretty decent, but the second one is being hailed as one of the worst movies ever made.

Video games should remain video games, unless the developers themselves create the films. Too many times they select a director/producer that doesnt know jack sh*t about the game or video games in general, thus making for one lousy movie that has nothing to do with the game itself.
