I used to think that LP were very hard, but I've now heard stuff like slipknot and Ill Nino that are harder than LP. How hard do u view LP's music to be? I'd think around 6
heh, even slipknot arent hard if you look at some heavy metal bands. In that case i'd give them a 3 or 4.
6. The riffs are crunching, I'll admit it. But there's no complexity. I got an acoustic guitar a few nights ago and just by doing ear training, I picked out and duplicated a few progressions. And I don't even know what names the strings are or the numbers of the frets!
Well, I don't believe they're "hard" at all. They're talented artists but not "hard-core". I don't think its a bad thing though, I've seen some pretty hard core bands who play some pretty awful music.
One. I listen to the likes of Cradle Of Filth, OTEP, Nine Inch Nails, etc. They're nothing in terms of 'hardness'. And wow, that seems majorly perverted. Why didn't you use heaviness? Hardness? WTF.
as would i. Im getting into heavier and heavier music it seems and im definately liking LP less and less as time goes on, if they get heavier with their next album or at least more complex, it'd restore my faith in the band
Well done Mark. I'd probably give them a 6 as well. Meteora didn't quite meet the bar set by Hybrid Theory.
Talented *Wipes tear.* No, no. I love LP, but really as one they aren't talented. Actually, no I take that back. They could be talented, but they are lazy. LP was my favorite band until I heard Mudvayne, A Perfect Circle, As I Lay Dying, Chimaira..etc, still I love them. Meteora sucked though, and was much softer. So heavyness around H.T.: 7/10 Heavyness around Meteora: 3/10
