Along with that, no more cel-shaded games that burn my eyes. I didn't play Windwaker for that reason, cel-shading hurts my eyes with all the colors and formats (literally).
Yea, I agree, and I'm glad to see that Nintendo's at least open to change when it comes to that. The only reason they cell shaded it was because it would have taken up so much energy to make the water realistic.
The trailer looks suprisingly significant as a video game, as opposed to Link looks like Legolas from Lord of the Rings.
If they scrap this at the last second and make a cel-shaded game like they did before, I'm going to be one pissed off person. Oh, and this game will most-likely be for GameCube/GameCube 2 ONLY. So, go get one.
Two years ago, they had E3 shots that were exactly like this. Link was looking über-badass and the game looked incredible, and they scrapped it a few months later to work on the cel-shaded game. I'm not ruling out the possibility that that's going to happen again. Although they did get a lot of people complaining about it looking too childish. Hopefully they'll keep the 3D and all this and it'll be as epic as Halo. I just hope they don't release it on Xbox or PS2. It'll give people a reason to buy a GameCube/2. If they release it on PC, that would be wicked.
The only reason they cell shaded the last one is because it would take so much energy and time to make the water animation as good as they wanted too. This one's almost all on land, or so we can assume by the early pics. Miyamoto best not cell shade this baby. And there's NO WAY they'll release this on anything other than a Nintendo system. That's the way it's always been, and that's the way it always will be with The Legend of Zelda. Also, it's slated for 2005, I don't think the N5 (what you're calling the GC2) will be out then. But there's no telling.

It's made by Nintendo... unless they go third-party (or second-part to either Microsoft or Sony) then there's no way it'd be released on either. So go get a GameCube. It's a GameCube only game.
I love the LoZ games. My favorite is probably Ocarina of Time and if I had a Gamecube I would definitely get this game.
$99 for a GameCube... if you're really into Zelda then you can get this and Wind Waker ...Wind Waker should have a price drop sometime this year, too, I'd wager (going on the "Player's Choice" lineup which brings the price down to $20).

[not-so-subtle job hint]Badabah bah baaahhhhh, I'm lovin' it.[/not-so-subtle job hint]
LOL, nice one.
I'm not the biggest fan of zelda, I could never really get into it, but i never tried to be fare. The new Zelda looks really good though, and i may end up getting it, i will decided earlier to the time when a few more details have occured.
