The Lostprophets, Hoobastank, Jet, Yellowcard, Dashboard Confessional, Midtown, Taking Back Sunday and The Ataris are among the first bands lined up to be featured on the soundtrack to "Spider-Man 2" which is expected to be out in stores on June 22nd. A full track listing will be released shortly with more artists to be added.
I hope the soundtrack has TBS covering the Original Spider-Man song. (Spider-Man Is my Favorite Superhero)
That's going to be one bad game soundtrack. [/b][/quote] At last, someone who disagrees with those punk feaks at Kerrang!
I'm not 100% sure but I read somewhere that lostprophets turned down the offer But I'm not sure though
I'm not sure what happened before with them, but they are going to part of the soundtrack for sure. It says so here.
I know for sure that Celldweller is contributing their first single, Switchback to the soundtrack; heck, they're even making a video for it.
That's the song that they played a little in the trailer, right? The scene where Spidey jumps onto the car with the crooks.
Yep, that's the song. By the way, Switchback (as well as it's radio edit and 2 other songs) are on his official site in mp3 if you want to listen to it.
Most of the bands on there kinda sounded soft. I mean, put some Stone Sour back in that mix. Yeah, "Bother" was a soft song, but it at least had the heart of a hard song.
Stone Sour was kind of a one-hit wonder, if you ask me. Bother received quite a bit of airplay on Much, but their second single never recieved half as much; in fact, I haven't even seen/heard it yet.
Yellowcard's gonna have a new song on it, those close to the band that have heard it say it is "the best superhero song ever written". Dashboard Confessional's song is "Vindication" and is a single to the soundtrack along with a new Train song being the second single. (you may remember 'Hero' from Chad Kroger and 'Bother' from Stone Sour as the first movie's singles). The Taking Back Sunday song is 'This Photograph Is Proof (I Know You Know)' and is off their new album, Where You Want To Be due July 27th on Victory Records. I cannot wait to hear the whole thing, but I want the YC song the most, lol.
Sum 41's "What We're All About" was a single too from the movie. It's on the dvd too and the video for it includes scenes from the movie. As for the "Bother" song, I thought it was just Corey Taylor's own version of it and not the Stone Sour one..even though I admit I haven't heard the soundtrack in its entirety. :wth: But anyway, I am looking forward to the Yellowcard song. I hope the Lostprophets one is new too. :rawk:
