Ok, not sure if this is old news, and it isn't the biggest thing either.

While enjoying my radio station, WBRU (95.5 The Original Alt Rock), they usually announce little tidbits of news and stuff.

Well, I had just finished listening to Audioslave on the radio, and the DJ (Brody) says, "Well, there is this new thing out now called Dual Disc Technology. What it is, is that its the same cd on one side, but on the other side, its the same cd, only in dvd format, and it goes on surround sound, so you can hear it from all 5 speakers, you can fix the bass and treble and stuff I guess, and it sounds like you are in the room with the artist. Audioslave is on the frontlines for it, and also POD's cd Payable on Death, and Linkin Park's "Reanimation" will be released. Yes, that's right kiddies, you can hear Chester's screams from all 5 speakers! Talk about irritating the hell out of your parents!"

I must say, I don't think it will be much of a difference, but it will definatley irritate my parents, just like Brody said. And who knows, maybe you can hook it up to the subwoofer... :shifty:

I sense a new trend... thumping the beats to Plc.4 Mie Haed at 5 in the morning. Oh yes, talk about a wake up call

Is this old news, or did 95.5 actually say recent news for once?

Yea, that's why i asked if its old news or not, because my radio station tends to be slow :wth:

Nah. Though I think this is what LP meant by "new jewel case version" of Reanimation. Weird how it took them a whole year to actually release it.

You can get double sided DVD's where the information is on both sides of the disc. Is that what this is gonna be like?

Yea just like that... though, I really don't see the point. I hope there is other stuff on the dvd side, because, while I love the cd, I'm not going to pay 13 to 20 bucks for two of the same cd...

Also known as the Reanimation DVD-A, given out as a gift to all first year LPUers.

The Reanimation DVD-A isn't double sided...

The new Reanimation has the DVD-A version of the album on one side and the normal CD version Reanimation on the other side of it. ^_^

well that's kind of pointless cause we already have the DVD-A, why do they need to have the same stuff just on two different sides?

I think it's a waste of money if the stuff on it is the same. Are there any other things on the double sided DVD besides the stuff on the already existing DVD-A?

That's my point Glenn. I'm wondering if there will be anything else, like maybe the videos.

    It seems extremely redundant...

    EDIT

Ah, the joys of preventing double posting...

I really do think its the DVD-A on one side, and the regular version on the other...

Because really, I'm not a member of LPU, because I'm too lazy to sign up. And also, maybe some kids haven't heard of the LPU and heard that Reanimation is more techno and hiphop (because not everyone likes rock, unfortunatley  ). So, maybe LP is trying to widen the fanbase a little... not to mention... I still think it would be pretty cool to be thumping Frgt/10 or Plc.4 Mie Haed on the subwoofer at 5 in the morning ^_^
