i was just wondering why he left the band in the first place? secondly did he come back because the band where a hit? thirdly, why did the guys let him join the band agin after he had walked out? i think i herd somewhere that he left to do something with his old school band (i think their name was Snax), or something like that? hope you guys can help me out with this one! iam sure you can thanks in advance JJ ps sorry if theres already a topic on this :wth:
I'm quite sure he left LP to do a charity show with his old band called Snax and I think he rejoined LP because he knew it was a temporary thing...or maybe because of his greed...
Phoenix was the bassist for Xero. He later joined the Tasty Snax (since renamed 'The Snax') and toured with them for awhile. Brad, who did guitar and bass on 'Hybrid Theory' couldn't play both instruments live at the same time, so Phoenix rejoined Linkin Park, toured with them after 'Hybrid Theory' came out, and became a permanent member of the band. I don't think it's known why he left Xero, but I'm sure it was on good terms.
I believe he left Xero for The Snax as well, but I could be wrong. Kyle Christner did the bass on the EP, if I remember right. Everyone claims it was Brad but he only did bass on the LP.

Phoenix was in The Snax before he joined Xero. He left the Snax to join Xero (not sure why) and then left Xero just before the EP was made to tour with the Snax as sort of a reunion, and then joined Linkin Park again a few months after Hybrid Theory was released.
Oh, and Kyle Christener was the touring bassist until Phoenix joined again (he can be seen in the "One Step Closer" video). Brad did indeed play bass on the EP.
No, that was Scott Koziel I thought.
Oh, yeah. I got those two mixed up. But Kyle is in the video.
I was watching frat party the other day and i think phoenix was talking about him leaving the band and he said he made a commitment to his other band(the snax) and he had to go through with it, then he returned when he fufilled his commitment. im pretty sure thats what he said
he joined the snax as they were gonna tour for charity and rejoined Linkin Park after HT was launched.he did play a role in Hybrid theory(crawling and papercut videos). But still I don't understand why Warner Bros didn't include his name under ''LINKIN PARK IS-'' section in the booklet which comes with the HT cd cover. He is also not present along with the other band members in the group photo present behind the CD cover.Does anyone know why?
If you think Phoenix re-joined the band just for greed so that he could make millions of dollars then you really dont deserve to be a fan of the band as that comment is just disrespectful to David (phoenix) by far. No offense, but it has to be the most moronic thing I have ever heard.
Yeah, we all know that Nostradamus prophesized the fact that Linkin Park would sell 14-million records worldwide.

hey guys just chill out i was just kidding. Why whould i say something about a band whom I love the most?I was gonna write the fact as to why Phi ''left'' the band when my mum called me for breakfast and so I had to cut short my reply and post it.I was gonna edit it anyway. the truth is that Phi did not actually leave the band. but he came to know that his original band(Tasty Snax) were touring for charity he parted form Xero on friendly terms and when the tour was over he came back after 1.5 years.and anyway that thing about Nostradamus was just a joke as Phi by no means would have had the info about selling 14 million copies as he joined the band in just a few months after the album was launched on Oct 24, '00.no wonder u find him in the crawling and papercut videos. Message to administrators-I kinda felt that what i said about David was derogatory and so I apologise and will edit my message.Sorry once again
