I'm thinking about painting my XBOX dark blood red with a black jewel. Going to use acrylic spray paint, and probably piss my parents off painting it. I may end up screwing up my XBOX, so I'm going to back up my HDD with a few memory cards. Any suggestions on people who have done this or just think it's cool? EDIT: I was searching on the internet of a few pictures of people who have done this before, and I ran across this Pretty cool, except that the LED kit is $40 and I could order some PC LEDs for about $15 off of NewEgg. No feedback, so here's another edit. Now, I'm not going to go crazy like this, but they're giving me ideas on what I want to do. I might get my friend Victor to install me some LEDs and **** since I really don't want to screw it up, and if he messes it up he'll buy me a new one. And of course, I'll take a picture of it once I'm done. I'll probably start the project in the springtime, when it's warm outside. Hopefully when I plan to do it there will be no rain for a few days.
Why bother trying to paint it. Use decals or stickers. Print something big and colourful out on a giant printer sticker sheet and cut it out in an 'X'. Then stick it on. If you mess up, eventually, you'll peel all the sticker off, whereas paint won't come off as easily
I don't mind painting it, in fact I want to feel like I did something productive...and that's painting my XBOX. :wth: I thought about the XBOX skins and elastics but I just want to paint it.
You never have anything positive to say about anything.. [/b][/quote] Will..... :chemist: I was offering a suggestion... maybe save him some time and money.
The person who made the XBOX in that second picture really went all out, they modded the inside with LEDs and even painted the controller plug and the DVD playback kit.
Are you going to get the new halo xbox? Its gonna be freaking awsome! Back on topic i hope your xbox looks cool when you are done with it.
Use masking tape. My dad uses it on our car when he spray paints it in the summer. It works well, and comes off without stick.
