Hey guys, this being my first post and thread, I'd like to say...hello...yeah. Anyway, I was browsing through the Meteora CD booklet the other day, and it said that Phoenix, Brad, and Rob sang in Meteora as well. Does anyone have a clue as to what songs contain them singing, and who sings in those particular? That would be some good trivia to bug my friends with. :D

it said that they do background vocals on HT too, but I didn't hear anyone do them and I'm pretty sure that they don't do any background vocals on Meteora either.

Whoo! Let's see. I only know of Phoenix doing back-up vocals. Sorry.

Phoenix did back-up vocals on "Crawling". You can see him singing in the video. He also did "Papercut", "Points of Authority", "Run Away" (he did a line or two). He also did "By Myself", but he did random words.

In Meteora, he did..."Don't Stay", "Somewhere I Belong" (in the video, you can see him mouthing the words.) "Hit the Floor" (I heard somewhere he did back-up vocals, but I'm not sure.) "Faint" Again, mouthing words. "Breaking The Habit", "Nobody's Listening" and of course "Numb" As you can see in the video.

Haha, I feel like such a nerd. I hope that has answered you question. If I'm wrong, please correct me!

I don't remember Phoenix singing in any of the songs. Tell me what lines he sings.

    Back-up vocals.

He doesn't do that live, he has no microphone near him. The fact that he's mouthing words in the video does not mean he does back-up vocals for the track. He's just mouthing words. I'm pretty sure Joe doesn't pay THAT much attention to the songs so that in the videos so it's perfect.

The vocals are incoherent. Pretty much impossible to hear, I think they just do it to make Chester's voice seem deeper or more agressive when he's singing agressively.

Brad often mouths the words when they play live. I've seen Rob do it, too.

None of them do back up vocals on any of the albums. Chester and Mike do all of the vocals, and they layer the vocals to make it sound like more than one person is singing when, in fact, it is only one person.

Then how come it gives them credit in the CD booklet for doing back-up vocals?

In the liner notes of breaking benjamin's album, they give the band credit for backing vocals but they don't do any backing vocals on the album OR live.

It's just something they do to give band members more credit.

i am answering this as i am a professional guitarist and bassist
i think that they(pheonix and brad)mouth the words to know at what time to strike a particular string and to avoid the embarassment of being off-tune ;) :preach:

If you turn "One Step Closer" up really loud you can hear Brad say the 'F word' 17 times.

    ....
