:chaz: Are these two demos supposed to sound exactly like the versions on Hybrid Theory or should they be slightly different? Cuz i happen to have these two demos and they sound exactly like the versions on Hybrid Theory (By Myself and With You). I dunno... i might have the wrong ones cuz then it would just be like having two By Myselfs and two With You's for me.... Please someone help me on this...
I'm not sure about Now I See, but Super Xero is slightly different than By Myself. Theres some extra lines here and there that arent the same, you have to listen pretty carefully. Go here to check out the lyrics and make sure.
You have those stupid kids who try to be 'cool' to share them, but all they did is putting them from 192kbs to 56kbs.. and that changes the sound and it kinda sounds like its a demo..
"SuperXero" is definitely different from "By Myself" as it has slightly different lyrics and Mike says "So, what do you think?" at the beginning of it. "Now I See" isn't entirely different from "With You," but you can tell it's a demo just because of the quality of the track. It also is more echoey than the album version. And I know for a fact that "Now I See" is real because I used my super detective skills and managed to download it off of Linkin Park's old, old, old site, hybridtheory.com.
No. I think there is actually a difference between the songs. Now I See has a different kind of guitar and is mixed differently. I don't think quality will effect those. Super Xero is different from By Myself and from the demo. I had the same question out and listened to all version millions of times and learned that they were all different.
Gee thankz people. Look, I have Super Xero, where when Mike goes "How do you think... I lost so much... always afraid...." it sounds different from the Hybrid Theory version. Then i have another which i named By Myself (demo) and at the beginning Mike goes "So what do you think?" Then I have the Hybrid Theory version one. So I guess my problems are over. I also got the Reanimation one and the Live In Texas one. So its all cool. But I still can't figure out Now I See... O well... Guess what? I just like became an LP fan like a few days ago and I got like almost all the demos and all the tracks on all the albums. I'm just missing the unreleased ones i think... I have a so called demo called Plaster which is supposed to be One Step Closer demo but i'm sure its fake.. (read off the other thread)
Huh? www.hybridtheory.com is a junk site. [/b][/quote] Hybridtheory.com used to be home to Hybrid Theory before making the shift to Linkinpark.com. It used to have MP3s of their songs and you could download the EP and some extra songs on there that were made by the band... If I'm not mistaken. It doesn't even exist now, too .
The site ran out because they didn't pay for the rights to it anymore. And Will, if you got Now I See off HT.com does that mean you have plaster too?
Oh. Well, I do know the URL of the site that LP put plaster on... They mention it in Maximum Linkin Park. I still have to go see if they have it lying around.
is that "Maximum Linkin Park" an uniffical talking biography cd? i have a cd like that under the name of "Maximum Linkin Park" that all. write bak
from what i know plaster isnt actually a demo to OSC its just the original name before it was changed to OSC.
lucky you, haha. it's taken me several months to get where i am now, and i'm still short by at least aa thousand songs (mainly live bootlegs, of course, but still) there is a demo for with you. it is called "now i see". and if you don't listen carefully, you'll think you've been ripped off. "now i see" has louder electronic sounds during the rapping verses, and there is no high-pitched whining during the scratch bridge after the 2nd chorus. plaster...interesting story. i don't feel like re-typing it, or quoting myself, so just look for the "plaster" thread and read my entry there.
what else did the site have beside the EP. Damn I wish a could go back in time and look at the site and buy the EP.
