Billboard chart positions for the week of March 26th - April 1st are as follows;
Billboard Top 200 Albums Charts 'Meteora' - #47 (Last Week - #35) Billboard Top Music Video Charts 'Live In Texas' - #2 (Last Week - #1) Billboard Pop Catalog Charts 'Hybrid Theory' - #6 (Last Week - #3) Billboard Modern Rock Charts "Lying From You" - #8 (Last Week - #13) "Numb" - #14 (Last Week - #11) Billboard Mainstream Rock Charts "Lying From You" - #9 (Last Week - #13) "Numb" - #12 (Last Week - #11) Billboard Hot 100 Singles Charts "Numb" - #24 (Last Week - #19) "Lying From You" - #78 (Last Week - Off Charts) Billboard Top 40 Tracks "Numb" - #15 (Last Week - #11) Billboard Top 40 Mainstream Charts "Numb" - #8 (Last Week - #7)
There were very few positive aspects of this week's Billboard charts for most Linkin Park-related releases. First, 'Meteora' fell twelve massive spots to #47 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums charts. 'Live In Texas' was then bumped down one spot from it's five week reign on top of the Top Video Charts by a new release by Weezer. 'Hybrid Theory' also fell three spots top #6 on the Pop Catalog charts. In single news, "Lying From You" continued it's rise up the charts while "Numb" continued plummetting after it's long stay on the charts. LFY jumped five spots on the Modern Rock charts, lept up four spots on the Mainstream Rock tallies, and debuted at #78 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles charts. "Numb" fell spots on every chart it was positioned on, including five spots on the Top 40 Tracks charts.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Meteora rise next week. The record has been on a relative see-saw for awhile now, it drops heavily one week and rises the next. Besides to still be in the top 50 albums a year after release is nothing to be ashamed of. BTH will come when the time is right, no need to rush anything out to keep Meteora high on the chart. At this stage, does any of that really matter? LFY is shining and they'll probably let it for a few more weeks yet.
I just saw that Papercut boy posted it but "Lying From You" is on the Hot 100 Singles now... and "From The Inside" charted on some foreign airplay charts... #15 in Greece #35 in Germany #37 in Australia
Just checked the charts again. Meteora is off the Top 50 and LFY moved one spot up infront of "The Outsider"
