Why didn't linkin park include the ep songs into hybrid theory? I would of liked to hear some of the songs remixed in reanimation B)
my december and high voltage appear on the ep and on reanimation, obviously different though. LP didnt want to re-release old material. because in their oppion it was to them. the ep has a more dark side to it IMO. they might of thought that those type of songs wouldnt reach out to people in the same way as HT? u never know.... at the end of the day the decision was up to LP. iam glad it turned out the way it did
What are you tlaking about? Do you have th EP album? My December isn't on the EP album. The version of High Voltage on the EP album is a demo for the version that appears on the Frat Party DVD. Both High Voltage and My December were b-sides for Hybrid Theory and this is why they probably decided to do remixes of the the songs for Reanimation.
"My December," contrary to popular belief, is not a B-side to Hybrid Theory as it was recorded after the final sessions of the album. In fact, "My December" was recorded in late December 2000, whereas the entire album was recorded before October.
Yeah I thought Mike wrote and composed that while they were on tour. In the bus. (That's what I heard at least).

[/b][/quote] No. After the band played on KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas and the band performed "My December," the band was asked to contribute that song for the Christmas compilation CD that Kevin and Bean put out every year. The band recorded the song when they were in Nashville, TN, and released it on the "One Step Closer" CD-maxi and the "Frat Party..." DVD.

But that still doesn't disprove what I said. I just heard that Mike wrote it while they were on tour. I was just wondering if that was true or not. I didn't mean it was recorded on the bus or something like that. Just that he thought up the lyrics, chords or whatnot while sitting in the tour bus. Am I still wrong?

There was at least a month between the release of Hybrid Theory and the KROQ show for them to write.
I guess LP didn't think the EP songs were good enough and were just demos and that they needed to record some more new fresh stuff.
High Voltage WAS going to be on Linkin Park's debut album . The end of Cure For The Itch matches the beginning of the non-reanimation High Voltage remix perfectely (except for a small fade out that was done at the last second) go ahead and match them up if you don't believe this post, I think you'll be shocked at what you'll find. This find was courtesy of Teh Will. So while you guys are freaking out, remember to bow down to teh Will's almighty greatness.
