Do any of you suffer, or have recovered from any serious illness? And no, the flu isnt a life-threatning illness Well at the moment, and the only thing ive ever had, is kidney stones, its been almost 2 years since i started to get them when i was peeing, more or less, scarlet red. I wasnt in any pain at the time, not untill last summer. Id say i was a pretty athletic guy, im always outdoors, running around or playing football (soccer). Last summer i used to collapse in pain and feel so ill, and i start to get this liquid that looks almost exactly like water dripping out of my mouth, which is weird. Now, i get the worst pains ever, and my operation should be in April, or so they say. Ive had to wait for AGES to get here, tests after tests, ive been to about 5 x-rays, 2 G.P appointments, and one with the surgon The operation consists of a thin needle being put into my side (my right), near the back, with a balloon round it. Once the needle has entered my kidney, the balloon will be inflated, making the hole about 1cm big, so they can go in and completly remove the stone. They will deflate the balloon and leave the needle there for 3 days, because removing it straight away could be dangerous I had the option of getting ultraviolet rays to disintigrate the stone, but i was forced to turn down after it was discovered my stone is about 1.5cm big, which is too big for the machine to handle, so it would more than likely get stuck in the about 5mm wide tube. If i went with this, and took the chance on success, and it failed, i would then need the original operation, plus one going in from underneath my man hood, up into my bladder, and removing the stone, so it seemed the normal thing to do was go for the first one. I cannot describe the pain i go through, i know theres ALOT worse things, and i can feel for people with things like cancer after all of this. Just imagine a 1.5cm, solid ball, with jagged sides, trying to go down a 5mm tube.
Yeah you told me, hope you get better. That's pretty scary! Well for me just Nemonia. It can be deadly. I got it when I was 5. I'm not sure if I died or not.. Maybe, maybe not.
omg, i didnt know that I really hope you recover fully from it, one of my best friends suffered from cancer, but he was lucky enough to pull through I hope everything goes well for you

It's actually going well since no one has really changed when they found out. Only a few, but they don't matter. Will: What do you mean by cave in?

You know what the weird thing is? I understood that... That sucks, Will. I hope your chest gets better.
It won't. I need surgury and it's expensive as hell. But thanks anyway.

I had meningitis when I was a little kid, that's about it. Fortunatley, I don't have anything now (except a nasty cold I can't seem to get rid of )
I actually had an illness up until late February that many of you LPAers had no clue about. It was a mixture of acid-reflux disease combined with severe hyperventilation. I experienced a tightness and burning in the chest, accelerated heartbeat, numbness in my arms and legs, as well as a shortness of breath and fatique. I thought I was dying and it took an EKG as well as over 100 different blood tests to see that it was just indigestion and panic attacks from getting well..panicked. Nothing feels worse then not feeling anything at all and barely being able to breathe, I assure you. Then when I was five my appendix erupted to the point where had I gone to bed that night and not had it removed by emergency when i was rushed to the hospital, I'd be dead and LPA wouldn't have existed. But yeah...
hmm yeah i have a cold which is really annoying, but i dont think i have any bad diseases. well im lucky. hope you guys get better.
Im so hot, that sometimes it makes me sick B) Anyway, everyone.. hope y'all get better from what you have
It won't. I need surgury and it's expensive as hell. But thanks anyway.
Wow.. So sorry, wow. Hope you get better. That's so scary... All of you here with an illness, I wish you luck.
