Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong have appeared on the latest episode of Track Star, the popular music-themed gameshow where the premise is simple: contestants are played snippets of popular songs, and win money for correct guesses. While pairs of guests would typically team up, host Jack Coyne has the two Linkin Park members compete at getting their guesses in first, in a special "Versus" edition of Track Star.

Coyne also spends time asking Shinoda and Armstrong questions about Linkin Park, and about their own connections with the artists and songs that come up. Shinoda relates his history as a fan of acts like Beastie Boys and Run DMC, while Armstrong speaks about her love of Janis Joplin. While Shinoda is clearly an expert at naming the songs, longtime Linkin Park fans might say he doesn't quite hit the mark when attempting to explain the creation of "What I've Done" ...

    Track Star
began in early 2023 on TikTok, and simply featured Coyne challenging random passersby in New York City to recognise well-known, popular songs. Before the year was up, however, famous music artists and other celebrities were scrambling to appear on the show as well, greatly increasing its profile. Whenever he has pre-booked celebrity guests, Coyne handpicks songs in advance with them in mind, as he hints at in this episode. Over the past few years, contestants have included Olivia Rodrigo, Ed Sheeran, PinkPantheress, Shinoda's arch-nemesis Lauren Mayberry, FINNEAS, Charli XCX, Jack Antonoff, and more.
