Music podcast Broken Record has just posted a 40-minute interview with Mike Shinoda, where he and host Leah Rose talk about some of the creative risk behind relaunching the band, the subtext behind how people react to female vocalists—and how this relates to Emily Armstrong—and a little about the band's continuing evolution from their comeback to the current From Zero world tour. Their conversation also touches on some historical Linkin Park moments, such as Mike and Joe's first meeting with visual artist Frank Maddocks, friendships with artists like Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance, or how Mike thinks the best verses he's written are often tucked away on deep cuts like "All for Nothing."
