For the sake of completeness and because I feel it has been the less discussed new song in forever

    Couple of my takes :
    • Out of all FZ era material, this is the song that, to me, felt the most like a collab and had the least LP-DNA feel to it. More like a Dead sara-meet-Mike thing. But of course, that would make sense,, given it was one of the first song they worked on together, and the first one where Emily screamed on
    • Pretty interesting to have UFTB and Unshatter sit side-by-side on the Deluxe. Chronologically, their newest and (probably) oldest songs together. In between those sit the whole "band rebirth journey".
    • Unshatter is a great track to have for its historical importance in the band's new line-up
    • About the track itself, I really dig the main riffs, Emily's doubling Mike's in the verse, and the chaotic bridge. Chorus is a bit less my thing, but it isn't bad either

Haven't really listened to it much since release. It's fine. Really think they could have done something way more interesting with the guitar. Riffs are just bland.

Honestly, the song keeps growing on me.

Mike background vocals in the chorus are quite cool and make for a nice contrast with Emily raspy approach. Also, it creates a nice interplay between low and high notes. Melodically, it's well-done, and it gives the chorus a bit of an alternative/grunge flair.

When I listen to Unshatter, I keep thinking how Mike's often references "trying to let the songs go where they want to go" during the creative process. The song is somewhat a straightforward alternative rock tune, something about which I was a bit lukewarm at first. However, in hindsight, maybe the song just doesn't need anything more. A simple rock riff, a bit of a punk attitude, no big production tricks, and Emily 110% owning the ride. That's all there is to it, but it is really well crafted. Fits like a charm between UFTB and LYF.

I don't know why I felt talking so much about it, but there it is
