It seems we may be getting a slow-drip release of behind-the-scenes footage for the creation of From Zero! This is the third week in a row we have gotten an episode of LPTV for a song on From Zero, and we are continuing in chronological order with "Heavy Is the Crown," the album's second single.

Linkin Park has already given fans a brief look into the creation of "Heavy Is the Crown," sharing a short video of Emily Armstrong recording the bridge scream at Mike's home studio. This LPTV episode also includes some footage of another take by Emily on that section of the song!

All the footage in this LPTV episode comes from 2024 sessions at EastWest Studios, where the band is shown discussing lyric interpretation, weighing a mellower versus heavier chorus, and tracking parts with Mike, Emily, and Colin. We also briefly get to hear earlier versions of the hook from "Heavy Is the Crown," which Mike has mentioned before, noting how he changed the groove and sound of these samples after feedback from Joe Hahn and Mike Elizondo. This video also gives more valuable insight into Colin Brittain's role as producer, as he and Mike dialogue on vocal melodies.

Though the band obviously went with the more aggressive interpretation of the song, the cleaner vocal melody we hear Mike and Emily testing out went on to feature in the score for Arcane, the spinoff TV series based on Riot Games' League of Legends.

Stayed tuned next week as we anticipate a new episode for "Over Each Other," the next track on From Zero. Let us know your thoughts and discuss in our forums!

Interesting how different some of the instrumental sections were, as we can hear at different point in this episode. That part at the beginning sounds straight out Meteora, with those big powerchords and synths. The guitars parts playing when Colin is tracking the drums sound pretty good actually.

Wonder if some of those earlier versions demos will see the light of the day at some point.

Also "You are at the show Emily", that was cool.

I don't care what y'all think this song's a banger and Emily's a force of nature on it.

I felt the same about the Cut the Bridge video - honestly preferred the demo riffs.

Another great ep, so much in it to like. I like how it sounded more crunchy and industrial earlier on, and seeing Emily do that chorus is really cool

Didn't they say they ultimately went with the first take, though? Or do I remember wrong?
