The song has core LP elements especially in the instrumental, but to my ears this is one of these songs where, as opposed to many others on FZ where Emily is great, the use of a female vocalist makes it lean more into the pop punk-ish territory and makes me think of Paramore, which is not a band I enjoy that much. Maybe I worded it wrong
I'll admit that, while I do find the song fun and very catchy, I probably would not switch it for any of the other FZ songs. It's essentially the new line-up on "some What I've Done sh*t" - but I don't mean that bad . It's just, the song is very openly made to be a single. That said, it does it really well, and I'm glad we have it. Edit : since UIG was brought up recently in the shoutbox, I'll go with the take UIG should have got the same treatment back then. A one-off single, not breaking the album flow
Agree on UIG, since I was the one defending it. UIG as a one off single ? Yeah. UIG as the second single off THP taking the spot of, say, Rebellion ? No. It's basically a Living Things song that ended up on THP
