There is a kid name alex mcmillan and had the closest match to chesters voice ive heard so far no he isnt chaz no one will be but this boy can sing give him a listen to on you tube alex mcmillan
I'm not sure I'd really call Alex a "kid" considering he was already an adult (or close to it) when he and I worked on a couple songs together 9 or 10 years ago, lol. He's aged a lot better than I have though.
Alex is a very talented vocalist. My favorite cover he did was with a couple other guys. I like that his covers have evolved from trying to sound like Chester over the years to bringing his own take on the songs. If someone like Alex were added to the band I would hope they follow the same advice Mike gave to Chester. Don't try to sound like anyone else. Be yourself, your own voice.
i don't like his voice at all. Sounds like a child, too anasalated, acute and "thin". Chester's voice felt much more "open" and dense. I mean, he can sing and all. But it's too much of a teenager voice.
Agreed (on the first part, not about how you've aged). Alex has been around for a while in the LP fan circles. Though as a counterpoint, the original poster shows on their profile as being 41, so I guess we're ALL kids to them.
