I hope Avril Lavigne (if she puts out something that she's been holding back for ages), CHVRCHES and Mike Shinoda can make albums that will be among the best of the year.
I have low expectations for Florence+ The Machine after hearing the first single, probably another good, but not great album.

It seems like 2018 is going to be worse than 2017 (last year was not perfect, but good anyway). In 2017 I had 15 great albums, 12 good ones, 0 average and 10 bad albums. This year almost at halfway point I have only 5 great ones and I'm expecting only 4 more of those, 5 good, 4 average, only 2 bad ones (I feel like I've been avoiding those) and 7 others by bands I don't know and have no expectations, just a feeling that none of them will be amazing. If I want average or bad albums, I think I just have to listen to the most mainstream stuff.
