Mike has posted a video titled "M S" to social media teasing an announcement for March 29th. The video shows Mike being followed by a hand held camera as he draws art on a wall whilst a new song snippet plays in the background. Earlier this week Mike begun teasing something on Instagram by depicting a line cutting through three images in what looks like paint and watercolor splattered against a canvas. We already know Mike has new music in the pipeline as he recently met with fans at Tower Records in LA to shoot some kind of music video for a new song. At the time he stated this was for a new solo album so it looks like this could be more promotion for that. Interestingly the shirt Mike is wearing in the video is the same shirt he wore when filming his music video with fans in LA so it's likely this could be related to the release of that song. These songs seem to be coming along a lot faster than I anticipated. Mike is just that kind of person that when they get a rush of motivation that creative spark just pours out. Most people in similar circumstances would've understandably taken quite some time off, but here he is with a recently released EP, upcoming live shows, and a new album. LP fans are spoiled.
So, any fans that were at the video shoot wanna come out of the dark and tell us whether or not this song was the one Mike was filming for?
Mike is the man. I have nothing but mad respect and awe for him, his talents, and how he has handled the past 8 months of his life.
