I think posting a generality based on this article in a thread about a band who's main singer committed suicide, and also accidentally implying you were talking about this specific Carpool Karaoke episode with the phrasing, is misleading when that article is talking about a completely different band and episode altogether. It should be presented more as a rule of thumb and outside of areas that have that baggage, or not at all if the baggage lends your words a much different context.
I believe you're honestly the only one who really made that connection in this thread, and are being overly cautious. I never believed for even a split second that the link was in reference to this episode.
