Decided to check it out, I'm in the second song and both feel very creepy and potential horror movie songs. Funny how the guy sings in about such dark themes. Best thing the album is the instrumentation. Can't relate to the lyrical themes, though.
    Anyway, Colbie Caillat - Bubbly

While I do like Wish You Were Here the reason why I'll still pick When You're Gone over WYWH is because I grew up with WYG.
It has a too special place to be simply replaced or ranked down by another song(even if it was by the same artist).

That's what happened to me as to Wish You Were Here. While the first song by her that I heard was Sk8er Boi, the one that made be like her music was Wish You Were Here, that was my song of 2011.

Lacuna Coil - Trip The Darkness
A band to look more into, has some of Evanescence and Epica feel to it.

    Brand New- In the Water

I highly suggest listening to their second album, Deja Entendu. Most people agree that's their best album. My personal favorite is their first album "Your Favorite Weapon" however. After 4 listens I'd rank their new album #3 (out of 5).

Both Deja Entendu and Your Favorite Weapons are in my top 15 albums of all time.

Lacuna Coil - Enjoy The Silence
I'm finding this band quite good and changing my opinion as to Cristina Scabbia's voice.

    Epica - Storm The Sorrow
My first ever Epica song, one of the their best for sure. Love Simone's vocals and the way Mark Jansen's growls complement it.

One of the best albums of all time, it's a shame they fell off so quickly.

    Imagine Dragons
    - Tokyo
Last song of Night Visions, it will probably make it to my to-buy list just like Phobia by Breaking Benjamin did with one full listen.
Haven't listened to Evolve fully yet, but Thunder impressed me a lot, but Believer and Whatever It Takes weren't as good. Night Visions on the other hand had 4 smashing songs which were playing nonstop on the radio. I'm tempted to think that Thunder on itself makes the album worth buying.
I'm enjoying I Bet My Life from S+M, which I think I had heard before and I'll also listen to the other singles Shots and Gold. Until now Night Visions wins the best album rank clearly. Without having listened to many of their songs I missed some great music to be honest.

    Brand New- Lit Me Up

Evolve is pure garbage. Thunder is by far the best track on the album. That and Believer are the only songs worth listening to on a day to day basis. Check out their second album before Evolve because it has a fair amount of good songs on it but also a lot of average songs in my opinion.

I Bet My Life and smoke And Mirrors are great, Shots and Gold are garbage, not worthy of being singles which are the songs that are supposed to be more likeable and the album boosters in terms of sales. If I were to compare OML to Evolve, OML would crush Evolve, but in terms of actual sales they are pretty close with Evolve having a considerable advantage. OML was at 652k last week (couldn't find any worldwide update this week) and this week Evolve is at 739k, it's less than 100k, but it's a quite big difference considering how slowly albums sales go nowadays. Ed Sheeran's Divide sold almost 2 million copies in the first week, but that's very difficult to do nowadays, only with straightforward catchy as hell pop songs.

    Imagine Dragons - Polaroid
How many tracks does the non-deluxe version S+M album have? I normally don't buy deluxe versions because the bonus songs most of the times don't justify the higher price of the enhanced record.

    Brand New- Strange Logic/Teeth

The standard edition is 13 tracks while the deluxe edition is 21 tracks. definitely get deluxe on this one because most of deluxe songs are better than the actual album its self. Like legit way better than the album its self. I hate I Bet My Life, can't stand that song one bit. It's so dang annoying. They chose AWFUL singles for that album when better songs existed.

These albums will get to my to-buy list for sure, but my priority albums are Synthesis by Evanescence, Avril Lavigne Self-Titled and new album, a NIckelback 3-album cheap bundle with the 3 best records, Nightwish EFMB, Epica's new EP, Paramore's Brand New Eyes, and Keane's Hopes and Fears and Under The Iron Sea. On the botom of the list are Breaking Benjamin's Phobia, many live albums and some others to complete discographies. My list has now 30 records. I hope to complete it at a rate of 2 records per month until the end of 2018 counting 2018 albums, it's a long list that would almost double the amount of records I have (about 40).
The deluxe S+M is surprisingly cheap, 10 euros.

    Imagine Dragons - Trouble
Quite good song. I would like most of their lyrics to be more understandable, though.

That's really cool that you have a giant list to keep adding to your collection. I'm a HUGE CD collector, I have about 520 physical CDs and that number keeps on growing. I mainly only buy new albums really I care about or Thrift store finds until I go to a place called Zia Records in Arizona. There have multiple locations in Arizona and 2 locations in Las Vegas and I've been to every location. Best record store ever! I spend way too much money every time I go there lol.

For me it's not that simple since I live far away from Lisbon and either buy when I go there, which is about 3 or 4 times a year or order and receive the albums at home. I mainly buy older records because I honestly prefer older music to new one. Out 2017 albums I only bought OML and on that list are only 3 albums if I don't decide to buy the upcoming Pvris album, which is seemingly to have less quality than the first one judging by singles. The current list is as follows:

    Avril Lavigne – Self-Titled
    Avril Lavigne – TBA (AL6)

Avril Lavigne – Live at Budokan
Avril Lavigne – Live In Toronto
    Evanescence – Synthesis
    Nickelback – 3-album bundle

    Nickelback – No Fixed Address
    Keane – Hopes And Fears
Keane – Under The Iron Sea
    Paramore – Brand New Eyes
    Coldplay – 4-album bundle
    Epica –The Solace System EP

    Epica – Design Your Universe
    Epica – Consign To Oblivion
    Epica – The Divine Conspiracy
Linkin Park – Live In Texas
    Linkin Park – Collision Course
Nightwish – Endless Forms Most Beautiful
    Nightwish – Once

    Nightwish – Century Child
Nightwish – End Of An Era DVD
    Nightwish – Showtime, Storytime DVD
Within Temptation – Black Symphony DVD
    Delain – The Human Contradiction
Delain – We Are The Others
    Pvris – White Noise
    Hyubris – 3rd album TBA
    Breaking Benjamin – Phobia
    Imagine Drgons – Night Visions
    Imagine Dragons – Smoke+Mirrors

In bold are the albums which are the top priorities. Possible new additions: Lacuna Coil's Karmacode and Dark Adrenaline, Pvris All We Know of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell, Paramore's Riot and Self-Titled and also Keane's Strangeland if they are solid. Any Muse album I find to be good.

    Imagine Dragons - Second Chances
