Today it was announced on Facebook that Chester Bennington will be reuniting with his former band, Grey Daze to perform at the Club Tattoo Anniversary Party on September 23rd, 2017 at the Marquee Theater in Tempe, Arizona. The reunion will feature the band's original members, including Chester, Sean Dowdell, Mace Beyers, and Jason Barnes. The show will also feature opening band Katastro. It is unclear whether or not the band will only perform older material, or if they are coming together to perform and release new material. However, posts on the Grey Daze Facebook page suggest that some of the members have been recording in the studio - making it possible that there may remastered or new material from the group. Grey Daze assembled and released three albums in the early 1990s, including Demo (1993), Wake Me (1994), and ...no sun today (1997). Chester left the group in 1998 before joining Linkin Park (then known as Xero). Tickets for the performance go on sale this Friday, June 30 on luckymanonline.com, and will also be available at all Club Tattoo locations. Source: Grey Daze Facebook Page
Just to clarify, ''Demo'' wasn't an official release. The tracks come from Sean Dowdell And His Friends and a live session that the band did for Wake Me. It's been explained on LPLive. Kill The Flies was on the Sean Dowdell And His Friends tape, it wasn't even a Grey Daze song, technically. And Commit, Come On and Here, Nearby were from that live session that LPLive posted in 2015.
Commit/Come On/Here, Nearby (demo) have been around a lot longer than that. It was the rest of that batch of songs that wasn't released until 2015.
Has it been said anywhere what the ticket price is going to be? Or even a ballpark? I dont want to get excited if its going to be out of my price range.
After the atrocity of OML they really need to go on a hiatus, come back in a couple of years maybe 2021 or so make 1 more album EPIC album and an epic tour and ride into the sun set.
I've been to mutliple shows at that venue and tickets are usually around $40 regardless of artist. Man I wish they did this two years ago while I was still in college. Went to college in Phoenix but now back in Seattle and I'm sad because of this show. The Marquee was only 25 minutes away from where I was located.
Where does it say they're going on hiatus? OML is a successful album although it dropped to number 30 but it seems this tour will be huge and successful.
