    Lostprophets is the best representative of screamo currently. They're a modern form of "The Used."

    ...how can a current band be a modern form of another current band?

    So you know what to expect from a band. That's not my opinion, just the general saying y'know.

    Yes they do. :) Their influences are old classics, bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Pantera, etc.

    that's an oxymoron.

    Punk died along time ago. There is no band active today that is true punk.

    Last time I checked, punk music was agressive, not emotional. (ie: Last Train Home)

    I classify them as Hard Rock. Not an insult, I like plenty of Hard Rock..

    What about the Casualties? The US Bombs? STUN?

    I'm not trying to argue, I just want your opinion on why these aren't punk bands :)

    Lostprophets are punk metal. Old limpbizkit were classified punk metal too, before the nu metal term was invented.

    There both sub-genres of punk. Ska is basically punk with horns and trumpits. Emo is basically punk for crybabies and pussies.

    PUNK ISNT DEAD

    Punk died with the sex pistols

    The closest thing we got to a punk band today is greenday and they aint punk theyre rock pop

    Eveything today that you call punk is just rock pop Some. examples;
    Sum 41
    Blink 182
    Greenday
