Out of curiosity, what possible songs from THP will show up in future shows? Obviously the hits from Hybrid Theory and Meteora will be there. Minutes to Midnight's five singles managed to fit into the set. Thousand Suns has "Waiting for the End" and "Iridescent". Living Things has "Burn It Down". But THP was so strange, and even GATS and "Until it's Gone" was dropped from the set even though they were the two lead singles of the record. Maybe "Wastelands" or "Final Masquerade"? Or maybe no THP songs altogether?? I'm just worried that the record might not show up in future shows.
Any fans of Robot Boy, My December, or other guitar-less relaxed vocal heavy songs, I'd suggest checking out "Love S.O.S" by Justice. I'm hoping LP has more songs like this on One More Light! Feels.
I've seen a big shift recently regarding the attitude towards A Thousand Suns (or maybe I'm just LTTP). I remember so many people hating the record when it came out, but I've encountered more and more people here and elsewhere that share the notion that it's LP's best record. It has aged, and I think will continue to age, extremely well.
I'd be excited af right now for OML, but then I realized that the local Warner Bros records doesn't sell CDs here anymore.
It wasn't an easy album to grasp at first impression. It sounds pretty simple and straightforward now but, at the time, I think a lot of fans were overwhelmed by how it was so different in so many ways. All the songs are completely different even from each other - just like the songs throughout "Minutes To Midnight" were, but this time to a greater degree.
I was just thinking there might be some hope for a song similar to TLGYA on One More Light. This would make up for 9 other Heavys
No real bass lines either, or guitar work that isn't distorted walls of noise or a repeating note or chord.
I still don't understand how or why GATS and Until it's Gone was dropped from the THP tour. I mean, I'm glad they brought back the full-length Papercut and BID and incorporated Welcome, ALITS and Darker than Blood (lol everybody forgot about that song) into the set, but why edge out songs from the album they were promoting just to add back From the Inside and Breaking the Habit? :/
I think they realised that, by removing some new songs, they could play more "Meteora" or "Hybrid Theory" songs
