I never said that lol, thats why LP is bigger internationally than in USA, LP has alienated their fan base so much that they have become irrelevant the USA imo.
Five years after the initial song, with a complete image overhaul including name change, and... Eminem and Dr Dres help. Suffice to say I don't think that ol Shinoda bump was quite the career launcher everyone thought it would be. Including her, since not long after she was soliciting babysitting gigs and I think had actually retired briefly.
Ok guys. I have been visiting this site almost every day since the early start of ATS cycle without signing in. However, the excitement for the upcoming record is almost driving me crazy so much that I finally registered. Although I must say that I am a huge fan of linking Park's skills in delivering music with some electronic strength, I am really looking forward to hear the full HEAVY single which somehow reminds me a lot of the chilling vibe that I felt with Welcome. Can't wait.
Hard to tell on my phone, but I thought I heard Mike harmonizing behind Chester at the end of the clip. Sounds good. EDIT: Also, if you don't like it, why come here just to complain? If you're still hung up on Hybrid Theory and Meteora, that's great. But to have every post be a bitch complaint gets tiresome, no?
Oh my, so many new members (myself included) it's so nice to see everyone bonding and sometimes bitching, all for the right reasons though, cause we are fans of the best band in the world.. Anyway, Welcome to the site! Does he get a cookie Derek?
I posted about it before the shitstorm in the thread begun. I think it might be Kiiara harmonizing with Chester and then he delivers the "why is everything so heavy" part by himself. I am really liking it so far...
I'm on the fence, I mean it's salvageable if this is the poppiest thing on there... but man it reminds me of that Recharged garbage. Recharged meets A Thousand Suns, it's kind of like having an ice cream with a turd in it. I thought Keys To The Kingdom and All For Nothing are the weakest tracks they've ever done.. i'm scared Mike has lost his sense of quality control. This track will be okay if it's a one-off, but if the whole thing is in this style.... ugh. This is Linkin Park's last chance for me, I didn't feel Living Things or THP were up to their usual standard..
I'm getting an indie, Final Masquerade-ish vibe if that makes sense. As someone who loves that song, I am very much hype.
I was satisfied with THP, so ill give LP a pass on this new album, but if LP8 sounds anything poppy too, than thats it.
This song sounds suuuper boring so far but I guess in terms of the direction of their sound I much prefer them going full pop to full rock. I just hope they realise how strong the competition is in pop music at the moment.
