    Hello everyone !

I just received the European single of Waiting for the End (and I'm waiting for the European promo single to ship also) and I discovered that on the back of the cover, there's a mention of Waiting for the End as "Track one from the Warner Bros. Album A Thousand Suns", which is false, of course, knowing that track one of ATS is The Requiem. Even if it meant the first "real song" of ATS, it would still be incorrect as Burning in the Skies is the first real song of the album.
Edit : I also thought for a moment that it was mentioned as the first SINGLE from ATS, but it's impossible since The Catalyst is the first single.

Here's the scan of the cover on lpcatalog, which is exactly the same as mine.

I suppose the cover is the same in all releases, but is it a mistake, or a hint that WFTE was meant to be first on the A Thousand Suns album ?
I personnally think of it as a mistake.

Did you already notice this error ? Have you got an issue of the single that has not this same line ?
Has it already been notified by somebody (I searched on google and read the lpcatalog's page, it seems nobody mentions it) ?

Thanks for reading, don't hesitate to give your opinion, and have a good day !
    (Sorry for my poor english)

Read it as this "Track one from the single taken from the album A Thousand suns" as in track one (aka the album version of Waiting for The End) taken from "A Thousand Suns"

I'm gonna be blunt here. That makes absolutely no sense. They already have a track listing for the single right above it for one and that's way too convoluted for anyone to have thought was a good idea.

Err...this makes perfect sense and this exact form of verbiage is incredibly common on any kind of release where the tracks come from multiple sources. "Track one is from the Warner Bros. album A Thousand Suns," and track two is not.

This. And OP was confused about the wording assuming that this meant the song was supposed to be track one on ATS. They could've just said "Waiting for the End" from A Thousand Suns.

    Ohhhh.

That was a mistake on my part--I misread that post. I read it like "track one is from the single of a song taken from A Thousand Suns", not "track one on this single is from A Thousand Suns". Astat saves the day again.

Sorry @A_Thousand_fans, that was my bad.

And that's where my bad english strikes again, if I understood well, "Track one" represents the first track of the single, and not a track from the album itself.
Thanks a lot for helping me to find my mistake here !
