More importantly, Sleepwalking is the name of a song by Blindside, who toured with LP during the LPU Tour in support of their worst album of all time, Meteora:
You know, it's pretty stupid to judge by demo titles but all those seems very depressive. ---- Pay attention to the studio update photo, seems like the board was photoshopped (it's really blurred in some parts) to hide the names. And Joe posted that last photo in instagram and deleted it right away. Seems like the band was trying to hide, not the time to show it yet. And this guitar dude fucked up. PS: KATE, WE HAVE TO GO BACK!
Nag nag nag nag naggity nag. "The band is saying NOTHING, we need updates, we don't know what's going on!" "Jesus there are too many pics and updates, they're so overdoing it." Oh come on. I think this is just enough. Pics don't give great detail, and like someone said before, it gives you a hindsight of where are they in the process. Whether it's worthy to track them on a thread like this? It probably isn't according to some, but we're still discussing them anyway aren't we? At least that's what happening now so there's your answer. Okay so many figured out the song titles in the board, but has anyone paid attention to the little acronyms on the upper-right for each slot? Does that usually refer to the tracked elements (vocals, guitar, etc) or something else?
Yeah, I think you are right. I'm kind of feeling sorry for the band. They put much effort in not showing the names but a pic of them surfaced anyway. Well, after all it's hard to identify even the sharper titles. Plus it's likely that those titles won't even end up to be the final ones, isn't it?
The more interesting thing to me is Joe's caption. Does that confirm the bonfires are gonna be featured on the album in some way? I'm fine with that (and it'll probably be great whatever they bring to it), but I hope LP manages to impress with some tracks that are entirely their doing.
I may be thinking completely wrong here, but the demo titles would be changed bc they would name them very early in the process when they just start as instrumentals and the names would be changed to better fit the lyrics. But now since they are focusing on vocals and lyrics first, I don't really see much reason for huge changes in titles. Judging by those titles, I would assume they already have a connection to the lyrics (btw I am liking those titles).
In the end, they don't really tell the fans anything about the songs. I'd assume that they're a minor concern for the band in the grand scheme of making an album.
I'm not sure how many of those titles will be altered or discarded all together, but I really like the title "Locked Outside" for some reason. I know titles may not be indicative of the actual song, but when I think of being locked outside I think of being stuck in the rain on a dark night. Some of these early titles seem more personal too. That's kind of what I wanted with this album, something more self reflective, so I hope some of the titles and songs they settle on has that theme.
