Issues - Linkin Park Sound-alike

This band sounds a lot like old school Linkin Park. The song sounds like something from Hybrid Theory. It seems like Nu Metal is having a revival with bands like Issues, Attila, Backwordz, My Ticket Home, Hacktivist, The Holy Guile, etc. Lately, a lot of hardcore bands are incorporating hip hop and pop elements like nu metal did in the 90s.

This doesn't sound anything like Linkin Park and none of the bands you listed sound like Linkin Park.

Personally, I'm tired of this genre. I love metalcore and deathcore, but the bands that incorporate dubstep and whatnot into their music are only in it for the money. Most of them don't give a shit about the actual music (which is why all of it's so bland and sounds the same) and a lot of the actual band members are really douchey and shitty people.

I wish the whole genre would go away.

Also, I'm going to argue this isn't anything like "nu metal" (which is such a shitty term for the genre anyway). It's also been a genre itself since I'd argue around 2006 or so. It's not like it's a new thing.

Jesus. Asking Alexandria was at least listenable (the songs I heard). This, on the other hand, is plain fucking ridiculous.

 

Yeah, I've known about them before. Pretty terrible.

 

I dont think that this heavy/pop like singing fit in this case. Dont know, dont really like it.

 

If Linkin Park had ever sounded like this, I wouldn't be a fan today.

I remember hearing this when it came out and didn't like it back then. Aside from the turntables, there's nothing similar to LP.

 

I made it to 1.35 min. This just sounds like such a mess and not at all like LP.

 

I hear people praising Issues all the time (there are a couple of people over at LPL who won't shut up about them) but I fucking hate them. I hated them when they debuted with Black Diamonds in 2012 and I hate them now. And no, they don't sound like Linkin Park. I've heard Hooligans once and I'm not listening again.

The combination of both mentioning Attila as something good and linking Issues is enough to make me run for the hills.
