God, RWIB V2 is so fucking great. And that's the problem with NIN. I mean, it's the best problem to have but... I'll go and revisit an album and either reaffirm my love for song A or B or realize how great song C or D was that I never really took into account for some reason. Like, I know the song is good or great or amazing, but one day that song will just CLICK and all of a sudden I can't stop obsessing over it.
This was too damn hard. I found that choosing one from each album worked the best. Some exceptions - there is nothing from PHM, and two from TF and HM. Happiness In Slavery Piggy Somewhat Damaged The Big Come Down Beside You In Time Survivalism 22 Ghosts III Demon Seed Find My Way I Would For You AH, okay, I'll rank my top 5 HTDA songs just 'cause no one asked me to do it. The Space In Between Keep It Together The Sleep Of Reason Produces Monsters Speaking In Tongues And The Sky Began To Scream OKAY PEOPLE, I'll rank my top 5 TR & AR soundtrack songs aswell. Hand Covers Bruise In The Hall Of The Mountain King Immigrant Song The Way He Looks At Me Technically, Missing Yeah, now I wanna see everyone else do this aswell.
In no particular order: The Becoming Terrible Lie Reptile And All That Could Have Been The Day the World Went Away Into the Void The Great Destroyer Ruiner Wish Zero-Sum
01. Something I Can Never Have (Still) 02. Leaving Hope 03. And All That Could Have Been 04. The Day The World Went Away (Still) 05. Hurt 06. Right Where It Belongs 07. We're In This Together 08. The Becoming 09. In This Twilight 10. Head Down God damn, Still was amazing. That top-4 wasn't even intentional.
I haven't heard all of NIN's songs, but my favorite outro of all his songs I've heard so far is "Satellite". It gets me lost in a world of sound. Something special about it. Can anyone tell me if there's another outro that's as good or better from him?
I've always liked the climactic ending section in "Into The Void", which I think is comparable to the one in "Satellite". "Discipline" has a similar kind of outro as well
The Becoming is probably Trent's best outro, but if you want more of the same, All Time Low is sick too. On another note, why hasn't Happiness In Slavery been played for forever? It's fucking amazing live.
