Evanescence never covered "Numb", that's why. The version which purports to be by Evanescence is fanmade and either wilfully or mistakenly mislabelled.
So the worst thing happened today. The local Warner Music label has pulled out ALL their CD albums from music stores so they could shift to digital downloading. That includes Linkin Park CDs. As a CD collector/aficionado and someone who's not old enough to get a credit card, this really sucks.
Why wouldn't they just want the copies sold? Maybe you can look for secondhand stores, if you're not after brand-new releases ...
I already have all the LP CDs sold here. I snagged Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, LPU9 and Collision Course during overseas trips because they're not being sold here. One of the guys in our local fan base said that it's probably temporary, so I'm holding on hope. Just in my country. Then again, piracy and torrenting is so freaking rampant here that people rich, poor or even elite download lots of things. A lot of people at my school are shocked that I still buy CDs, let alone legally buy music. I'm doing my part to support music, but if this is permanent, then I'm gonna be really disappointed.
Man, when Chester doesn't have to cater to a bunch of teenagers who don't even like his music when he's writing and singing, he really goes off. With Stone Temple Pilots, their fans actually appreciate them and their music and I'm sure that feeds into Chester's energy on and off the stage. Must be the same with Camp Freddy
I feel like he's probably happier about the appreciation he gets from the band (stp). In STP he gets to be a proper writer, not just Mike Shinoda's sidekick.
That could be a part of it too, because his lyrics for STP are certainly quite different compared to what he writes for LP songs, and he has total creative control in that department.
Definitely gotta agree. And to add, the styles of both bands attribute to the lyrics. STP is just about high energy and sexy vocals while LP is more aggressive and angry
