I actually checked it out yesterday based on hype for Anaesthetist, and really, really liked it. Need a few more listens though.

It's awesome! I've been a fan since their first album and love everything they've released so far, but this might easily be their best effort yet!
Definitely one of the most refreshing bands in the scene right now.

Not really impressed by this album. I've got to say it doesn't hold up to either A Flash Flood of Colour or Common Dreads. That's only my first impression though; I did like a lot of it.

Felt the same way about it after the first listen but now I am really enjoying it.
But I probably wouldn't rank it over AFFOC or CD... I just feel like they were more "surprising" and different than anything they had done before.
This record reuses a lot of old ideas and sounds while not really doing too many new things.

    Personal favorite tracks:
"The Appeal & the Mindsweep I" - Holy shit this song is packed with awesome moments.
"Dear Future Historians..." Yes it's more or less a traditional ballad but I really like it.
And all the three singles are great actually.

I feel like "The Bank Of England" is a little too short and uneventful.
""There's a Price on Your Head" was obviously inspired by SOAD which made it feel a bit "gimmicky".

I've been hyping this for weeks. I'm listening right now, will post impressions later.

EDIT: Thoroughly enjoyed the intro track.
There's a Price on Your Head definitely sounded heavily SOAD influenced.

Absolutely love Enter Shikari, love their versatility both vocally and instrumentally, not even between songs but how much their songs can shift through genres. New album is no different.

Same, always a big fan of bands which incorporate lots of different styles, and ES do it very well. Personally love There's A Price On Your Head, as SOAD have always been mentioned amongst Shikari's influences, and this song is an awesome sounding tribute to that.

Can't wait to see some of these new tracks live.

I haven't been able to listen to a lot of the album unfortunately. I got through 3 songs before I fell asleep last night.

Having had this for a month now, I've gotta say it's one of the best albums I've bought in a long time. The diversity of the album is something I really like, it combines post-hardcore, electronic, hip hop, drum n base and even has added strings on a few tracks, something I'm always a fan of.

Coupled with their insanely good live shows, ES are definitely my favourite UK band around at the moment.

Best album of the year so far, might end being the best rock album of the year.

    Love it!

But at the same time, I listened for the first time to "A Flash Flood of Colour", and now I'm really hesitating wheiter which album is the best ahah

Have you heard "Take to the Skies"? It's also really good. I'd argue all 3 of those album are in the argument for their best album.

    You're wrong :kappa:
Common Dreads is my personal favorite but all of their records are pretty good.

I could not get into their second album at all. It's too weird for me in a bad way.

The Mindsweep is my favorite release of the year so far! I'm sure it's gonna end up in my top 10 list!
Though I can't really decide whether it's their best album, since I actually like them all equally.

Same! This year will be heavy on Rap for me if the albums pan out like they should, but I definitely see the Mindsweep staying in my top 10. Fantastic album!
