My maternal language is not English, so can you tell me what does mean "And One"? Or it means just "and one" and nothing more?
i think it could just have something to do with the band or chester but im not sur, possibly just a section from a sentance
It's the first song they wrote when chester came into the band, so that probably has something to do with it.
yer i was thinking And one.... the one piece missing from the band
or, these 5 guys, and one (your sig is awesome)
Actually, I've heard it on a commercial. The phrase, I mean, not the song. I have no idea what it means, and I have wondered too Maybe I'll ask my teacher tomorrow or something.
or, these 5 guys, and one (your sig is awesome)
yer exactly what i was thinking (thanks i just made it)
Well the official definition of that term is actually something to do with basketball. When you get fouled upon running up to the basket to make a shot, if you make the shot you get one free-throw which is called "And One". But what happened with the song is more than likely it was a working title that was kept, as Linkin Park have been known to name songs "Stinky Feet" and "Ugly Head". And One has no meaning towards the song that I know of.
Maybe the song is about someone who's been 'fouled' (not in the basketball sense, but as in some wrongdoing has been done to him) and his 'free-throw' is to "keep his distance", therefore And One... :wth: ... Ok, that was lame
I could see them naming "And One" after the addition of Chester. Think of the irony. The sun rising, and them walking up on horses. Then, Chester comes in and it goes ". . . And one." I think Mike got the "again" from Dedicated off of Chris Jerichio. Superxero is my hero.
Yes, thats true. Mike said that at the Rock am Ring Festival 2001 in Germany. I have a CD of this show. And he is saying exatly this, what you already wrote.
