We still need confirmation on whether the double album thing is true. Obviously something called Shady XV is coming on Black Friday.
It's a double album (1 of greatest hits material, 1 of new material) but it's featuring material from all Shady Records artists. 50 Cent, D12, Yelawolf, Bad Meets Evil, Slaughterhouse, and Em.
See? http://www.eminem.com/news/shadyxv-details-released - He got me hyped and unhyped within 24 hours. Good job.
Well, I've been listening to "Guts Over Fear' repeatedly since it came out, and I gotta say it's grown on me since then. My first initial impression I was unimpressed, it didn't really go anywhere, it was like Eminem was rambling with no flow. However, looking at it in a different perspective I've learned to appreciate it more. It cuts the commercial pop shit, it's laid back, real, and sincere. It's like a song made by Marshall Mathers, not his persona Slim Shady or pop Eminem. It almost sounds like he's just speaking from his thoughts rather than a piece of paper. It's not trying to be anything, it's an honest song made solely for the fans. It's real and I like it. Sounds like Shady XV will be an album reflecting over his whole career, including the people he's worked with over the years. I know it's been said in the past, but this time it really sounds like a goodbye album. If his lyrics are anything to go by, he feels like he's going around in circles at this point and he's not sure what to do anymore. This might be the last official Eminem album, I can see him doing singles and features afterwards though. I'm definitely looking forward to this, I wonder if the rest of the new songs will be as reflective as this, including the ones with the other rappers on it.
Well shit. You were right. Shady XV is set to release on November 24th or 28th. It is a 2 disc album. 1 disc of Shady Records greatest hits, second disc of new material from old and current Shady Records members.
Is it just me, or does Eminem just sound so... boring in that song? Nothing interesting besides Sia's part. Also, Eminem should stop singing. Every time I hear him sing it just sounds so awful.
