Ok guys. This thread is for us to discuss album artwork. It can be cover art, deluxe cover art, or anything in an art booklet officially released by the band/record company. It MUST be art put out by the band. No fan art. Please surprise us with interesting art!! Feel free to discuss the album as well! Ok, maybe this isn't new to anyone on here, but it's special to me. If it hadn't been for this cover art, I never would've checked the album out on iTunes. It was just cool and unique, and I actually think LT is in about the middle of the pack of LP albums for me. This is probably personal bias because it was the first LP album I ever heard, but the emotions I felt when listening to it the first few times were like nothing I had ever felt when listening to music before. ANYWAYS, if I hadn't seen this artwork, I probably wouldn't have gotten into the band!

This is album artwork at it's finest. The talking heads, representing The Division Bell's overall theme of communication, and how talking to each other can resolve and prevent emotional fallouts and needless conflict, is also a great compliment to the album's rather alienating music and rather depressing mood. These two alien structures will always be there in my mind, along with The Division Bell as a whole; my favorite Pink Floyd album and definitely one of my favourite overall albums. Note to other posters: it would be great if everyone used the [Thumb] tags so that every artwork has a constant width!
Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare This album art makes me feel sad. It may be because this album was devoted to their drummer, who had just died.
[THUMB]http://www.thescriptmusic.com/media/article_images/590/12946.jpg[/THUMB] The Script - No Sound Without Silence This is an album that won't come out until September, but the artwork is just absolute eye candy. If you don't see what it's supposed to be, that's understandable. It's two people sharing a kiss upside down, ala Spiderman. The figures are represented in a The 2nd Law-esque wire structure that's just really appealing to me. From the snippets released from the album thus far, this is shaping up to be one awesome album, and this artwork is just simply fantastic. The Script's releases are usually great sources of music artworks, especially Science & Faith and it's corresponding singles, but excluding the artworks for their last album, #3, which are absolute crap in my opinion.
This is the most evil album cover of all time. Just look into the witches eyes and listen to the first track. It's fucking scary lol and I listen to some horrific shit. This one was actually an alternate and ended up being an instant fucking classic. Just another evil fucking cover
[thumb]http://www.musewiki.org/images/thumb/Muse_-_Absolution.jpg/600px-Muse_-_Absolution.jpg[/thumb] I've always genuinely loved the cover to Muse's Absolution. Let alone that it is a great album, the artwork is truly perfect for the theme of the album. It seems simple because the artwork isn't necessarily dark in color, but I think it's a pretty powerful cover. I'm a big fan of it.
I just love this cover. It's even better than when you get the CD, you have both the good side and the evil side in full. While the album's theme is heaven and hell (There Is A Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let's Keep It A Secret.), it's not what the album cover is about, it explores the stuggle of each individual inside, the battle between everyone's good side and their bad side. Plus, it's incredible to see.

Just look at them bears rocking them shades... them grape fruits and strawberries... and the Big Papa Bear himself in the middle rocking his iced out wrist watch, holding that fat cuban in between his fingers. Bawse shit.

Even those grotesque heavy metal albums don't have that much detail and effort put into their artworks! This is truly eye candy if I ever saw it! Here's the artwork in 1500px, if you're interested!
