I suppose I should revise my statement. I think The 2nd Law is the hardest to get into if you've been a Muse fan for a long time (although perhaps that also applies to you). I think some of the songs on that album are hard to appreciate at first, although I would agree that some of those songs are very likable from the first listen. For me, it took some time to really appreciate that album (and I think I could say the same for The Resistance although not so much), whereas albums like Absolution and Black Holes and Revelations were ones that I fell in love with right away and only came to love even more with additional listens. I would agree here. I think certain parts of the album have the "epic" ambience to them, but I think the album as a whole doesn't emanate the same feeling as some of their other albums do. It's a pretty clear concept album (unless of course you're being sarcastic), very much influenced by 1984. When I first listened to that song, I hated it. However, it's come to be one of my favorites off of that album. It's just kinda groovy.
