ALL of this is Linkin Park music. The scores which aren't credited are what LP worked with Alec Puro, every single one of these is an LP demo.
Don't be that guy. A poor translation, but even the french cover states "Soundtrack by Chester Bennington, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn & Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park". While it's not exactly under the Linkin Park name, it's still made by the band and I honestly don't know what to call it other than a soundtrack made by Linkin Park. Not to mention some of these are old demos, technically making them "Linkin Park" songs. Anyways, I suppose this thread could go under the "Side Projects" page, but what's the point?
For anyone curious, here is the full list of songs and artists listed in the "Music" section of the credits. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/6zxPs8O.jpg[/thumb]
A song doesn't have to feature all members of Linkin Park to be an LP song . That's like saying tracks Mike made by himself for albums (interludes etc) aren't Linkin Park tracks, even though they're on a Linkin Park release.
I'm calling it, these songs are just better sounding than most of THP. That's subjective, but I've grown with LP and their poppier side... unfortunately It's just so melodic and fantastic. JK.
Definitely hope to hear the full versions soon. I'll take THP over these, but we get both so can't complain. Love the creepy start for the opening song.
I don't get why the opening credits song wasn't on THP. The chorus sounds a lot like what's on that album. Yeah it's a little electronic, but it still would've been at home on that CD.
As soon as the chorus kicked in that's exactly what I thought. I'll take it as an opening song for the Carnivores Tour...
Hopefully, since they got the heavy music out of their system they will make really melodic and atmospheric music again. I like THP but still prefer ATS. I feel like LP is one of those rare bands that has an extraordinary gift for melody that went very underused on THP. If they could balance the spontaneity and live spark of THP with the elegance and melody of their last few albums, it would be incredible. Listening to these clips of the soundtrack makes me miss their melodic side a lot.
Love the music, can't wait to hear more! But the third act song, is it just me or is the guitarpart very and I mean very similar to the last part of Unitl It Break. I believe the demo was called Three Band Terror. I was literary singing Brad's vocal parts when I first heard the third act song. Maybe some one whose better with notes and music stuff can look into it!
Well, I hope the band gives us a complete 180 on the next album, and returns to more melodic music. I want them to venture out and push both Mike and Chester's voices to the limit and see just what they are capable of doing.
In my opinion, if this weren't Linkin Park, I wouldn't give two shits about it. If this was the direction those early demos Mike made were going, then thank God they switched it up to what we ended up getting. EDIT: And wait, are the "Da na na's" gonna be replaced with actual words at some point? Lol that's absurd. It's just like the MTM making-of DVD. EDIT 2: Also, is the first song with Chester the "White Noise" song? That one is actually really badass. Is the entire song longer than 2 minutes though?
