Out of all the songs from THP still unreleased, which song are you guys most excited for? For me, it's KTTK, and ALITS.
Sorry I don't think Final Masquerade sounds remotely similar to Cumulus. A common element would be the use of octaves but that's not enough to say songs are similar.
I tend to not like Chester-only songs very much, but this is pretty decent. I'm 3/5 on this record so far. Yay for improvement.
I can't help but feel like some people are going to be disappointed by War. Some people will probably enjoy it but describing it as "heavy" is a little subjective. It's a really fast-paced, old-school style punk song and the sound is definitely aggressive, but that's mainly due to the style of the song. It's also primarily a Chester song, no Mike vocals, and he sings it in a style that he's never done before. He's aggressive but he doesn't really scream until right at the very end. Brad's guitar part is great near the end too. I wouldn't call it Linkin Park's heaviest song ever and I wouldn't even call it the heaviest song on The Hunting Party. Again that's just subjective, but in my opinion, the ending to Mark the Graves is probably the "heaviest" part of the album. War will definitely get a mixed reaction and I think some people will find it hard to take seriously. In my opinion, it's definitely a fun song, but it's not one of my favourites from the album by a long shot. I probably wouldn't choose to listen to it but I probably wouldn't skip it either. I'll be interested to see how it's received when the album is out.
