Do you think 'Until It's Gone' will chart very well?

Lat time I heard LP on radio here in Australia was earlier this week when Numb was on. It still gets more plays than any other LP that I'm aware of.

However, I don't listen to radio everyday

I avoid listening to Radio at all costs, but I'm certain the last time Linkin Park was played on radio down here was with Burning in The Skies.

I've said it before and I still maintain to this day that the Australian music scene is controlled by the wrong people (teeny boppers), the music played on radio here is just generic, pop-manifested crap.

I'm in the post-hardcore/metal scene and I have been for many years now, there has only ever been a small portion of my town (Adelaide) that attend these gigs (Northlane, Amity Affliction, Parkway Drive, Thy Art is Murder etc..) regularly and we are all pretty close. We barely fill out small venues and festivals (to the point where AJ is tempted to cut us out of the Soundwave Tour because of poor sales, unhappy people with the music played).

Hence why I am excited for THP, Mike is right, aggressive rock/metal music is dying out and it's time somebody came along and saved us.

Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and question yourselves: do you really care?

UIG : #115 And GATS : #118 On Bubbling HOT 100. But GATS Is #1 On Modern Hard Rock Song For 3 Weeks In A Row Now.

Guilty All The Same was dropped from the Big 'Uns last weekend. Reaching number 10 at best. To "change rock" you surely has to place better!

However, I see Wastelands or any heavier song reaching a better spot at Sirius.

On topic: I really thought UIG would chart better than it did. To me, it was a massive hit.

I have a feeling Linkin Park or whoever actually decides which songs will be singles, are reading the fanbase wrong. They seem to think that putting out the more catchy or pop/rock type of songs will attract listeners, when in actual fact it will attract criticism.
Releasing heavier singles like GATS and Wastelands is what will hype the masses and get them nostalgic enough about "old LP" to want to buy the album.
