i just got start something yesterday and im very impressed, i think the riffs are excelent and every song has great lyircs It also has a hidden song on the last track which is awsome has anyone else got it yet?
Yeah i went to buy 'Start Something' by lostprophets, and 'A Crow Left of the Murder' by Incubus yesterday. I've been waiting for both albums for months ant think they are really impressive and i think both bands are amazing. Definately worth the wait!
erm its hard to define every song cos they ar all different the meaning behind the albumn is to motavate ppl to try somthing new and try to preval (start something) they used this for the base for every song i think which is realy cool MY quick review of start som thing We still kill the old way this song is gret it has a vry good and solid intro on guitare and thn cuts to a single small solo and the lyrics start a great first into kinda song th first lines "so here we go again another time but it fels the same" kind telling you that the prophets are back with something new To hell we ride this song is featured on the game need for speed underground and it is awsome a real driving song i think with a solid chorus where the words Ride Ride Ride are screamed with lyrics over the top of them by Ian Last train home you should know this one because it was there second release from the albumn Make a Move defonitly one of my favourites from the albumna fantastic intro which is mixed in from the previous song which starts with soft guitare playing and builds and builds from there, gret lyrics great chorus ".....wake up wake up wake up im sick of waiting for us to make a move" Burn burn the first single form the albumn I dont know ok i think that this song has the best riff the intro instantly gts your attention and the drumming is top quality and again you can tell how long they've spent tweaking there lyrics cos thy ar superb for this song Hello again a kind of soft song with a strong chorus and great instrumental use with a sweaping motion to it i felt anyway. Goodbye tonight this is a very mellow feel good song i thought and i think it has a very good structure to the song with soft drumming and funky guitar which sounds cool Start something Another of my favourites on the albumn, a strong intro which keeps building with great drumming which cuts to the chorus which i havnt worked out the whole lyrics but it realy is another great song (this song basicaly sums up the albumn and tells you not to be afraid of nw things just get up and do it and dont be afraid) A million miles ok this is my favourite on the albumn i think, great turntable skills and a violin added in for effect which is very cool i cant say much more on this song it took me by surprise and blew me away (thres an amusing fone message at the end lol) Last summer another feel good song i thought, which i think realy is a summer song its another soft song but its realy got attention to detail with the drumming and listning to it throught headphones sounds incrdible (not one of the greatest but still a realy good song) We are godzilla you are japan for me i felt this was a sequel to shiobe vs dragon ninja which was realy cool its a kind of angry song with a few scrams and agressive guitar, its grown on me quite alot Sway + 5 minute instrumental ok this is the softest song on the albumn with very delecate piano by lee and th lyrics are sang in a peacful sence and alot of thought has gone into this one i think - the instrumental at the end is pritty cool with great samples and beats witha soft kind opera voice in the background its a great follow up albumn and i would defonitly recomend it to anyone
Best 3 songs on the album: Start Something, Make a Move and Sway. Start Something, my personal fave, has the craziest intro which is very climatic then it heads straight into the lyrics. One of the most energetic songs I've heard. Make A Move is super catchy, especially the chorus. "Wake up, wake up, wake up, yeah I'm so tired of waiting, waiting for us to wake up, wake up, wake up, yeah I'm so sick of waiting for us to make a move". Great guitar and drums too. Sway, the last song, is different than the rest of the album. It's a slow ballad with harmonious vocals which are just incredible. It calms you down after you're so energetic from listening to the first 12 songs. In my opinion, it's the album of the year for 2004 so far. Seriously check it out.
I highly agree with that, Mark. I just bought the cd today and I absolutely love it. This cd is a 10/10. Everyone buy this album.
I didn't like them that much. I ended up giving my cd to my friend since he is a big Lostprophets fan.
I bought it yesterday, and to follow the cliche I'll say IT'S AWESOME! I was a little ticked at first because I was trying to get the Lars Fredrickson and the B######s CD, but they didn't have it. So I saw "Start Something" sitting there on the shelf for $10 and thought, Why not? I think my favorite song so far is Last Train Home, but the whole thing is really really good...
I'm gonna pick up the album soon, I hope. The Lostprophets are a great band...just I can only get to a store every once and a while! I'll take your word(s) for it!
Start Something is definitely one of the best albums I've ever heard. It's great. Each track is distinct from one another, and that makes for a great album.
fantastic follow on to FSOP-brings alot of new sounds and ideas to the table and you can definitely verify the indvidual attention paid to each song to give it that uniqueness. the first track fires the bullet right out of the canon and i love the way they develop guitar sequences and the way they merge into the next song rather cleverly. Each song has its original singable/memorable quality that will get your mind going 'aha!' its that one...and you will almost certainly have at least 2 favourites (mine are we still kill the old way, the hell we ride, last train, burn burn, last summer, goodbye tonight) also i can kinda see how various bands such as metallica have inspired their sound (noticeable in tracks such as hello again) and the album sweetly ends with the catchy yet strangely beautiful 'sway' kinda like 'numb's position on meteora. this band is sure to stay around for a veeerrry long while and you can tell they aren't just the one hit wonder types-these guys have got the goods and are gonna undoubtedly keep chucking it out until the end!
It's alot different from the first album, this new album really is world class! [/b][/quote] Than I guess I wouldn't like the first album either.. :wth:
