Listen to Linkin Park's second single off of The Hunting Party below:

    Until It's Gone

A fire needs a space to burn
A breath to build a glow
I’ve heard it said a thousand times
    But now I know

That you don’t know what you’ve got
Oh you don't know what you've got
No you don't know what you've got
    Until it's gone

I thought I kept you safe and sound
I thought I made you strong
    But something made me realize
    That I was wrong

’Cause finding what you got sometimes
    Means finding it alone
And I can finally see your light
    When I let go

’Cause you don't know what you've got
    Until it's gone
    ’Til it's gone…

’Cause you don't know what you've got
Oh you don't know what you've got
No you don't know what you've got
It’s your battle to be fought
No you don't know what you've got
    ’Til it's gone

I can imagine old LP fans will like this song as well as those who prefer their newer albums. Not sure what to think of it at the moment, I'm sure it'll grow on me!

On my initial listen on BBC, it was real "meh" for me. After 3 more listens on YouTube, it's really grown on me. I LOVE the synth, and I'm really enjoying the really epic feel of the chorus.

    UIG > GATS

The lyric video is pretty damn good though. It's music video worthy.

I like it, but I think I prefer "Guilty All the Same". This is definitely some "What I've Done shit", but it's well done. It's a good song.

It kinda gets repetitive (weird that this is coming from someone who doesn't find RU or STB repetitive), but the bridge is saved by the hard ending.

I'd call this the most powerful single since "The Catalyst".

LOVE this track! Well worth spending the night waiting crazily. Now: To make sure I play it too much before the album release...

At first listen on BBC I wasn't OMGWTF blown away but there is a reason they chose this song as a single, and that is because it definitely has a commercial main stream feel to it.

The overall direction is what has me excited rather than the song itself. In the context of the whole album it will probably fit really well. Will give a final score once I hear the rest of the album. Stand alone 7/10. Definitely like it, though.

I like it better than GATS, but I'm not feeling that excitement. It's definitely good.

I felt the same way initially, but the dynamic change between the quiet verses and the "epic" chorus really does it for me. Chester's vocals really help the song too, it's a great performance from him.

Hmmm, I like it. I really love the synth and Chesters vocals are amazing. I give 8.5/10. For me it's better then GATS.

it's definitely a Chester ballad we've heard before but more layered. "What I've done" sounds weak compared to this. I'm digging this a lot more than GATS.

I reserve all judgements on the song until after I've driven around town for an hour with the song blasting on my stereo.

Listening to GATS and then UIG right after definitely picks it up a bit. It also makes you appreciate GATS more.

He needed more variety vocally on the ''Gone'' parts. He kept the same not too long. It should've went a bit higher and it would've been orgasmic.
