Cover of NIN's hurt, sort of halfway between the original and Johnny Cash versions. Mixed for headphones (there's a lot of stereo weirdness going on) but should sound ok on normal speakers.

Let me know what y'all think.

Gonna try to do a soundcloud imbed but no idea if it will work haha:

The chorus was very well done, but the verses were a bit awkward. Though you have a good voice (that much is evident from the chorus) it sounds like you're trying to imitate Cash in the verses, and it doesn't quite suit your voice. Otherwise, well done dude, especially the instrumental.

You can embed SoundCloud players by placing a track's nine-digit identifier (in this case, "146812657") between "SOUNDCLOUD" tags.

Ya, I know what you mean. I am by no means a vocalist, and I have trouble singing that low without either doing that or it sounding weak (I'm from arkansas I either sound like a redneck or am going full bore). Maybe weak would suit the song better, though. I always do vocals like I'm showing someone else how they would sing it, timing and inflections etc.

I appreciate the props on the instrumental though. That's where all my work goes.

And thanks for the tip, I added the right kind of link.

Loved it! Cool little subtle details everywhere. The only thing I would say is that the upbeat toward the end didn't feel like it had enough of an impact as it does in the NIN version. The drums that come in around 3:13 sound a little too quiet and feel somewhat late. The ending felt slightly abrupt, also.

Still, really great cover! You have a great voice, and the instrumental sounds wonderful otherwise. :)
