Staring at the sky Time passes me by Caught in an embrace A murmur of a lullaby and The pale moon shines It smiles as I contrive The way world will be As the stars come and go Our lives a distant memory Leaves falling and day fading Seems like a sorrowful end Then I reflect and leave no regrets Seeing new constellations grow As others whither and die Wrinkled and worn I am Spectator of the knarled trees Even I am fading too Turning grey as concrete Numb but still hanging on My duty is incomplete I must find the truth Before I'm gone in the breeze Reaching out to the crisp air I cannot describe the feeling At one time I feel despair Yet, your voices are my ecstacy Their must be a purpose to this I set my eyes upon the stars once more The answer is closer then I believe The water lapping up on the beach I can feel the tide rising Feel the moon riding Around earth again tonight I know what it all means As I float away with the foam Into the depths of oceans night Very introspective and 'natural'....I was listening to Opeth (more below) and it was such a moving experience I had to write something.... (I was listening to Opeth's 'To Bid You Farewell'. This may be the most beautiful song I have heard in my life. That was from their 2nd album, Morningrise, and people have said: 'If Beethoven, Mozart, and Bach were alive today and made metal, they would have created Morningrise...' I now agree with them, just listen to this track...you won't be sorry)
I'm listening to 'Blackwater Park' as I read this. This is so darn amazing! You're an awesome writer.
