It would have more cutting edge guitar Brad sounds and have more songs like Faint, Blackout, Wretchers and Kings etc
Probably something like 30 STM's This Is War. The closest thing that comes to mind is Waiting For The End and I'LL BE GONE.
A br00tal heavy metal album with heavy as fuck guitars, face-melting screams and DA TIGHTEST RAPS U EVER HERD YO! Just kidding. A 75 minute long ambient concept album, with elements of shoegaze, neo-prog, drone and IDM thrown in there, based on Leo Tolstoy's 1869 novel War and Peace.
An Industrial Rock album. I can actually see them doing this. A lot of their tracks have had an Industrial feel to them, right from the beginning. ATS the most. Had a lot of Semi-Industrial elements. Even Shinoda's score for 'The Raid : Redemption' was very Industrial influenced, I felt. I'd totally love that.
A Thousand Suns is by far the best thing they've ever done, so i'd like something kind of like that, but also different because after all I've already heard that record. Maybe something not as apocalyptic, and instead something more looser, like Breaking the Habit. I really like how Gorillaz experiments with alternative, hip-hop, electronic, jazz, etc. so that would be a great influence to take a page from. I also think they could use a producer like Brian Eno. Most of their forays into electronic music are really primitive and rely on bland techno synths compared to what cutting edge electronic musicians like Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada are all about.
