Teaser trailer just hit. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/11/06/watch-the-truly-kick-ass-trailer-for-the-raid-2-berandal
This, any word on the score? Might have to see it anyways, last one was sick and this looks good too.
Watched the first one twice. One of the few movies I've kept on my computer after watching it. I like watching some scenes when I need some motivation to go workout. Get so pumped!!!!
TAKE MY MONEY ALREADY. And I kinda like the larger emphasis on story and the mob family battle setting.
I like the way it's headed into, but this movie is gonna be very different from the first one, that's for sure. Much bigger setting this time around etc. But I remain cautiously optimistic, the action still looks top-notch. You really really should, man. Great action movie!
I'm a bit confused as to how Evans wanted to make this one first - does that mean he meant to film Redemption later as a prequel? Meh, whatever, that was killer, and this will be, too. Hammer Girl looks CRAY.
I was actually thinking about this a while ago. Maybe what Evans had in mind for this movie was an officer (Rama) wanting to take down the corruption inside the police force. Would it be possible that what happen throughout The Raid could have intentionally been like the first 20-30 minutes of Berandal and would set up the whole backbone of what The Raid 2 will be? Not saying that was the gameplan, but maybe something like that? That there was intentionally more to film after the events of The Raid if it were like 30 minutes or something like that.
I got to meet Evans when he showed The Raid in Chicago. Basically, he wrote Berandal first, and that was the movie he wanted to make but didn't have the budget. So, instead, he wrote and filmed The Raid -- then later on he adapted Berandal to work as The Raid's sequel.
Definitely recommend watching it having seen it for the first time not too long ago. The fight scenes were well choreographed and the soundtrack crafted by Mike and Joe Trapanese fit it perfectly. Very excited for the sequel.
