Same things as the Best of 2006-2013. Create a single album that you consider Linkin Park's best from 1997-2005. You can use studio albums, LPU releases, Reanimation, and even the Xero demo tape. Anything you think is their best.

Album Name: Standing in the Middle

    1. Carousel
    2. Lying from You
    3. By Myself
    4. Standing in the Middle (feat. Motion Man)
    5. High Voltage
    6. Forgotten
    7. Nobody's Listening
    8. X-Ecutioner Style (feat. Black Thought)
    9. Points of Authority
    10. In the End
    11. A Place for my Head
    12. From the Inside (Nobody's listening fade in removed)
    13. Cure for the Itch
    14. My December

I tried to go for a more Hip-Hop oriented approach to my album.

This one was really difficult for me.

    01. A.06
    02. And One
    03. Points of Authority
    04. By Myself
    05. Carousel
    06. Dedicated
    07. My December
    08. Figure.09
    09. Step Up
    10. A Place For My Head
    11. Forgotten
    12. High Voltage (2001)
    13. Part of Me

The transition By Myself -> Carousel -> Dedicated shows some of those dark beats which caracterized Mike's work back in the days, and which were one of my favorite feature in the band's music. Step Up and the High Voltage remix have some of that too! I guess "I Have Not Begun" is the closest the band has come to that kind of vibe ever since.

I didn't included any reanimation track because I felt like the instrumentals weren't fitting with the rest. But if I had to, I would have putted the PMA and By Myself remixes!

Man, also, this thread made me remember how much I love the HT EP. Had it been a full record, it would have been my favorite. No doubts about it.

And you reminded me of it. Though I put Carousel in my list, for some reason I completely forgot about HT EP. Nearly all of it would have made my album, it's all so great! And One & Step Up kick ass. Also, which version of A.06 did you put in your album?

The short one, just as an intro :)

And as far as the HT EP is concerned, I will just add that that short dark "oriental" bridge section in Step Up is some of my favorite LP moments ever. Gives me chill everytime, and I'm always like "Fuck it! That's amazing". It's funny how you can be addicted to such a short part of a song ahah

    1. Reading My Eyes (Xero Demo Tape)
    2. Carousel (Hybrid Theory EP)
    3. Step Up (Hybrid Theory EP)
    4. Dedicated (LPU2)
    5. And One (Hybrid Theory EP)
    6. With You (Hybrid Theory)
    7. Crawling (Hybrid Theory)
    8. Papercut (Hybrid Theory)
    9. One Step Closer (Hybrid Theory)
    10. In The End (Hybrid Theory)
    11. It's Goin' Down (X-Ecutioners feat Linkin Park)
    12. Pts Of Athrty (Reanimation)
    13. H! Vltg3 (Reanimation)
    14. My Dsmbr (Reanimation)
    15. Somewhere I Belong (Meteora)
    16. Lying From You (Meteora)
    17. Faint (Meteora)
    18. Breaking The Habit (Meteora)
    19. Numb / Encore (Collision Course)

Comes to just over 1 hour and 5 minutes so will fit on one CD. Captures this period really well. It's Goin' Down was a key part of Linkin Park's career for me even if they are considered featured artists. When it came out everybody was into it, so I'm surprised that nobody has included it. Went for Numb / Encore over regular Numb. The tracks have been arranged mostly chronologically, but I switched a few around (Dedicated, With You, Crawling) as it flowed better.

The song Under Attack doesn't even exist...
I think I've already heard it once. A demo must've been mislabeled as Under Attack. Also, Vertical Limit is a fake name for Points and Authority.

    My list:
    1. Papercut
    2. Faint
    3. Points of Authority (demo version)
    4. Part of Me
    5. With You
    6. By Myself
    7. So Far Away
    8. She Couldn't
    9. Forgotten
    10. In the End (somehow more like Untitled)
    11. And One
    12. Somewhere I Belong
    13. Breaking the Habit

Yeah just checked the discography, it's just called Crawling (demo). I'm still keeping the name under attack because I like it.

    04. WTH>YOU (with Aceyalone) - Single
    05. Points of Authority - Single
    06. Carousel (demo version)

Now I'm tempted to make a .zip with these songs in it just for myself... :shinado:

I'm confused, why have you put on So Far Away and High Voltage twice, and why only 9 tracks?
